View Full Version : Proffessional Window Tinters.
Anyone on here do it proffessionally and fancies a cash job? I found out today trying to apply silver security film to a rear window with a curve is fapping impossible lol

DIY FTW Lee lol Cant you take the window out? Makes it easier. Weak soapy water, squeegee and your away! Sorry if any of that is granny sucking eggs type stuff!!!
Try sticking a piece of A4 paper to the surface of a Balloon with no creases Pete, and you will get the idea why its not as simple as that lol
There is a place by me that does it for £25 per window
use a hair dryer and it makes the "sticker" soft and easier to go into curves

Im sure I have a picture of jimbob-mcgrew wrapped up in that mirror style stuff. Someone asked us to give us a hand doing his van. Fcuking pain in the **** trying to do it DIY style we gave up after about 2 hours but it was good fun as it wasn't my car!

^Thats the easy bit.
Try cutting it to the righ size and applying it to the window without it curling up and sticking to itself.
Easiest way is to do it in strips, but then you need to line them up perfectly to avoid obvious joins.
Is this on the van, rear windows?
Yep, and it not only curves horizontally, but vertically as well, so strips wont work.
The hairdryer tip sounds good though, but tbh ive fecked up two bits of film so im not particularly happy about wasting another one lol
