My first corsa sills had been repaired using glue and blue rags/tissue (like you get in schools, workshops etc), and then painted over.

my latest bodge was a suspension related bodge which wasnt very impressive, and as soon as its passed its mot it will be going back to the safer alternative which wasn't mot worthy lol

and like tidge said, everything the previous owner of my van did!

and i quote, "do the wheels scrub?"
"nah, not any more"
"oh right, did they stop doing it when they went bald"
"errr yeah"

lol

i sold a car with holes sealed in de sills using bathroom sealer.. stuck a plate on it and used loads of bodysealer lol had to drive 5 days with the windows down to get the smell away lol

(she wanted te holes closed... she didnt say welded).. and for 500 euro and a full year mot she should complain.

my previous c20xe nova had this..
this was sealed using polyester and underbody sealent... he did a great job as you coudnt tell it from the outside.. found it when stripping it.

LMFAO. That was NOT a bodge, it was a carefully opened up hole in the bulkhead, which i gave Jack strict instructions to tidy up, which he ignored lol

Worst ive seen that i can think off at the moment is fibreglassing over holes caused by rot, expanding foam pumped into sills (neatly shaped and filled over may i add  ) and an xe conversions wiring loom finished of in grey gaffer tape, twist and tape jobby lmao. Thats all for now.

But with some very good spit and chewing gum it held together and is now rallying around wales with a 1.6 i under the hoot.

Coutesy of a well known Motorsport Company- clicky (http://www.jam-sport.co.uk/contactus.asp)

Was used in a £2,000 engine conversion, ruined all his rubber mounts, had to cut the Corsa bulkead for a C20XE! And Jamsport were 'waiting for the engine mounts to arrive' which is what caused the six week hold up!

best one i seen was a metal plate under the pedals on a jag siliconed on then kit-kat wrappers rolled into balls and glued on then slapped with under body sealant that thick it was almost dripping off.

We had an Escort a while ago that had been cut in half and re-welded (god knows why) and was around 2 inches out of align, and the roof had been pop-rivveted with sheet metal

oh, and the engine was held in with a mixture of bolts and cable ties! lol

Probably the battery tray on my last Nova....

A bathroom tile cut and siliconed over the huge hole below the battery :tard:

Probably not the worst but just the fact the battery was sitting above a hole big enough to fit through and the silicone wasnt even sticking to the metal.

im apparantly known as a bodge around here, mainly because i use cable ties. my engine bay had quite a few in, people seem to forget they are for tieing wires together.

the most recent bodge i have come across was buying my old nova back and when i finally got under the bonnet there was a towel in place of the oil cap lol

a carefully opened up hole in the bulkhead
LMFAO

"this hole is not big enough"
DRILL DRILL DRILL
CHISEL CHISEL CHISEL
HAMMER HAMMER HAMMER
"fit! :d"

Anyway, that wasn't a bodge. That was just pure laziness on my part (not uncommon) lol. AND the bodge to fix it is ingenious, engine coolant pipe and duct tape FTW :thumb:

....mind you, the cable ties holding my headlights in alignment is a bit of a bodge lol

[edit] As for the black rat, I'll see if I can find a pic of the engine bay. Last count was:

> wireless ICV (plug was plugged in though!)
> front slam panel blocking oil filler cap
> three miles of electrical tape round random parts of wiring loom
> wire stripped down and twisted together for joins
> inlet ground down for bonnet clearance lol
> throttle linkage mod meant max 70% throttle
> water pipes pinched either side of radiator
> another pipe round the back of the engine (think it was going to the ICV..) pinched and was two bits of hose wrapped together with electrical tape
> SR front bumper held on with a couple of self tappers into the wings
> mix 'n match spark plugs in it - 3x super4s + 1x Champion + 2x splitfires

errrrm what else was there lol
