View Full Version : Nova GSi - Power Gains ?
Hey.
Just looking to see what i can do to get a little 'more' out of my GSi without spending silly bucks ....
I'm guessing that C20SEH Injectors would fit and uprate the FPR ?
Already got a 4 branch & straight-thru exhaust system on it the now & i will probably pop a K&N on it since i havent got the standard airbox...#
Also where are the FPR's located on the GSi.
Cheers
Archie.

you could have the head ported and polished and a mild cam orr go down the route of throttle bodies/carbs but youll need about 400-500 pound for that

do it yourself you cant go to far with it but it will definatly be quicker
Dont do it yourself. Get somone who acualy knows what there doing!
But injectors are not worth it unless youve done a seriours bit of internal modding.
But like said search more too. A decent cam and a good service would give you more.
Although like usual id say fit a 1.6 16v, standard GSI engine isnt very tunable without spending lots of money.
I work as a mechanic so i can do the majority of work myself.
Want to leave the original engine in it as i'm trying to keep the car as close to original as i can.

Theres plenty you can do mate. Cam, pulleys, lightened and balanced flywheel, carb or bodies, 4 branch, exhaust, head work etc or a shorter ratio box for acceleration, skimmed head. Im sure there's more :)
Cool thanks for the replys.
i'll get some heat wrapping for my 4 branch & a K&N filter which should keep me entertained for the now, cars due to go on the road at the end of this month.
ive got a c16se head on the shelf i could port if interested.
tbh if want a bit more get up and go so to speak then would go for some mild head work, fast road cam, decent 4 branch
Much just for the head as is??
it needs building back up as ive stripped it.
so up to you if want it literally as in or built up as a stock head
Just the way it is would be cool.
£50 posted. ive got the seals, gaskets for top end, besides headgasket as my mate kindly sat on it! will put them with the head too, if want.
