oil cooler????

can someone please clear something up?? Do i need to run a oil cooler on my c20xe nova?? Im only using it for road use. Ive heard its not really that necessary, and cant really be arsed plumbing it in if its not. Also, if its not, how do i go about bypassing it properly. Ive heard i need to use a standard nova sandwich plate between the engine and filter?? Is this correct. Help on this would be gratefully received!

i ran one for 2 years then it started to leak so i took it off i didnt notice a difference

Your need to get another screw type thing, trip to vauxhall, its less than £2 iirc.

Just unscrew where the oil filter bolts on and the sandwich plate should fall out and you then screw in the new bolt type thing and then screw on the oil filer. Its been coverd a few times on here.
