Hey guys im new on here and should hopefully be picking my 1st nova up ibn the next few weeks as long as things go to plan. I have had corsa b's for the past 4 years and fancy going old school, i am planning dropping myself in the deep end with the nova, i am thinking of a pick up conversion.

Chopping the roof off behind the b pillars and from the line of the top of the bootlid, welding the boot lid shut, strengthening with box section on the rear quarters, like an A frame behind the seats then sheet steel with a perspex window made to fit, fitted behind the front seats, then mating the reinforcements from the rear quarters across to each other along the floor, then welding sheet steel over to keep the floor neat and tidy, then painting the raer of the cab/flat bed matt black.

Would this kind of strengthening be plenty, or any ideas on how to strengthen it better.

Thanks Eddie

Seem to recall the rear hatch from a Mk2 Astra estate fits the hole behind the A-pillar...

Cheers guys, general baxter, how would it be overkill? if by any chance was in an accident, id like it to be strengthened and not tottally crumble and not be safe if you get what i mean
