what ehaust sytem should i get !

I asked what you lot thought about the peco big bore. But it sounds like its not very good! What exhaust system do you recomend to get, ive got a 1.0 I want the it to be lound and ruthly 4" or bigger, I want the full system and how much or they?

Have you concidered why you want this? Is it just to look better and sound louder? then frankly any decently made backbox will do you. There's no power gain to be had on a 1.0Ltr with an exhaust so choose the best made you can with the money you've got :wink:

Infact you will probably loose power with a 4" or bigger pipe on a 1.0!

Rage do massive exhausts upto 7" i think and there cheap if you insist!

why not make a side exit exhaust with no silencers. have it stick out 12inchs before the back wheel. bit like on a mustang. you could pick up a few odds and ends of old exhausts from your local garage for free, as it saves them having to pay to get rid of them, and you must know someone who can weld and likes to work for beer.

me and my girlfriends little brother are workin on a 1.0 at the mo. it was an MOT failure on major rust, (though the springcups are solid) and we got it for free. engine is mint. we are strippin it for a bit of amateur banger racin in his mates field where they already have two other cars. we're doin a home made cage, mesh windscreen etc, and are tryin to think of a whacky exhaust, as the standard one will just get ripped off the bottom if we dont protect it.

probably be a side exit of some kind, possibly outta the front wing, lol

i see alot of Pecos on s*xos, f*zzys and even scoobys, but its the novas that get 'dissed' for having them, even though not a lot of nova drivers have them!

as for performance gains im yet to see (friday) when it gets RRd

but as for noise

it dosent change the noise, it "refines" it, if that makes any sense.

the tone of tthe zorst dosent change, just sounds a hole lot sweeter

Theres a fair few companies that do full systems for the Nova, Magnex, Janspeed, etc.

You might not see any power gains from your 1.0 engine, but if you decide to upgrade to a larger engine you'll have a decent exhaust to go with the new engine :)

I got a custom made exhaust from a specialist in Macclesfield, Cheshire. Theres a number of performance exhaust makers throughout the country, get on www.yell.co.uk and search for Exhaust companies. The price for a custom made exhaust is usually a little bit more expensive than a pre-manufactured exhaust, so weigh up how much you want to spend on it.

I noticed you were selling a BB4 on the forsale forum... If I was you I'd just stick that on, as you will have the looks & sound. An on a 1.0 i wouldnt think it would be worth getting a whole system cos in about a year time or sooner you will DEFO be looking for summit a bit faster, so personally I wouldnt bother wasting your money.

On a 1litre I dont think u can go wrong with a peco, ok if you got a fast nova with plenty of mod's etc. then its worth investing the money on a decent zorst.

my 2.0 16v had a peco on it for a few weeks... sounded mint...

but for price you can't go wrong with a pcs... i got a full system for a 1.4sr for ?90 :P

i've got a rage twin dtm on my 1.4sr and its sounds wicked, meaty and with a rally edge to it. cost me 3105 including extender pipe and brackets.

there ain't much wrong with peco. most of us can't afford a ?300 odd magnex zorst. peco is fine for us on a budget that hate the pea shooter of a standard exhaust.

Excactly! on a 1litre I wouldnt bother spending loads on Magnex, etc exhaust. just is'nt worth it. :|

exactly. look in the parts for sale forum here, you might pick up something good for a lot less than shelf value. plus as said before its only a 1L, just put what YOU want on it. its your car after all, who cares what others think.

i wouldnt get a peco they look crap to be honest all you have to do is get a cheap backbox not peco plenty of other companies ashley, janspeed, sportex to name a few are much better then peco, save upa tiny bit more and you exhaust will look sweet.

If it's loud u want then getta ASHLEY System...cheap as chips2...I had 1, never again lol....anylonger than 30mins on the m/way givin it sum and ur head will b killin ya lol.....Sets car alarms off down the street 2 lol....
Loud isn't always best tho...,When i had my Ashley Zorst i was gettin pulled by the plod every week grrrr....now with the Magnex i haven't been pulled over in a year :-D

wot bout powerflow??? if u want LOUD they can do it 4 u no probs, got 1 on me nova, had it 4 over 2 years, never had a prob. choose your tailpipe 2 m8.
i paid 200 quid 4 a cat back system, but i got 2 choose which tailpipe i wanted and how i wanted it 2 sit under the car.

didnt think that was 2 bad for 200!!

my girlfriend has got 1 on her clio 16v 2, i recommed um m8!
