I have a brake problem on the Nova,The o/s/r drum brake is getting alot hotter than the other side,so one of the shoe's could be sticking.

Took the cover off the drum today, and the shoe's are fine same as the wheel cylinder isn't leaking,Im thinking the wheel cylinder could be 'sticking' when the brakes are applied on that side:confused:

Im going to change the handbrake cable because the MOT tester said its due for a change because it's old,the brakes arn't binding when you spin the wheel:confused:

do you have to get a RH and a LH handbrake cable to change the whole lot.

cheers

where the handbrake cable goes through the corner off the rear axle usaully rusts up and causes the drum to stick.

when you fit new cable ake sure you grease it and especially where it goes through the corners of the axle as mentioned above, saves you money in the long run

also have you checked the drums? one could be more worn than the other
