running a xe in my nova. car came with g-max 60mm lowering springs and standard shocks. a very bumpy and bouncy ride to say the least. i finally have some cash to spend on the suspension and i have seen the v-maxx kits on the bay for around £300. has any one got a set of these and are they any good. £300 is my budget and anything has got to be better then my current set up. comments would be helpfull?

You get what you pay for in suspension, with an xe you need higher poundage front springs to cope with the extra weight.

Cheap kits wont be as good as a more expensive kit obviously.

I would look out for a decent second hand setup for £300, will find a spax rsx kit for that. Not used the kit myself but heard good things about it.

not on british roads....... they are really sh!t surfaces...... not like the mainland northern european ones. which is why euro style cars just fail over here..

My full AVO kit cost less than £300, so looking for a 2nd hand decent kit is a good option.

cheap aftermarket suspension 'tends' to have the bump damping rates cranked right up for a 'sporty' feel...... which with soft springs translates to a bumpy/crashy/bouncy ride that is not a nice place to be.

as said in a few places. Stiff springs, softish damping FTW (even for road use), except at the ring where its soft springs and mild damping lol

im running vmaxx on the front of mine and seem to cope very well (even on the roads over here) they aint bouncy but are stiff and have 200/50 big spring and the smaller one is 100/20 thats what mine have to you others if you have tried them comment on if you havent DONT because you dont know
