49 is the perfect offset for a vauxhall mate... thats as much as i personally can tell you.

dunno if its the same... BUT 49mm offset on a corsa is crap. I've been told that it rubs more on the shock, so I went for 45mm.

PM breeny as he will know

45mm offset for 17's, 49mm offset is ok on 16*6.5 but its crap on 17*7's as it will rub on the shock and the inner arch. Rick

Yeah, Nova's are designed to be fitted with 49mm offset, but if it's 17's you need 45mm offset, otherwise it'll rub on the inner arch/shocks.

Plus you have a wide-arch kit you said, so you'll probably be needing spacers even with a 45mm offset.

I've got a wide arch rally cross kit on my sr and i've just ordered 18"s with a 42 offset and if i need to i'll have to put 5mm spacers on we'll see its better to get a 45off then puts spacers than have them to far out to start with coz theres little that can been done to the wheel to get them to fit

with the wide arch kit you should have no problems with stepping the rims out coz i have 11 inches of arch on the rear which is massive

If possible, go to an actual wheel supplier/shop, as most of the larger one's will let you try the wheels on the car to see what they look like before you buy. Then you can use the right offset, as you should try to avaoid the use of spacers as much as you can.

Go for a 45mm offset or one that makes the wheels stick out further.

Red devil, which wheels did you choose in the end?

I've ordered Lenso RS5s in 18/7.5 they've got a 42 offset and i might have to use a 5mm spacer on top but 5mm aint much really
