mk1 steering wheel??

im trying to get my old mk1 pov spec'd steering wheel off my nova but it wont budge ive took the cover off took that big nut off and unplugged the horn live+neg, what else is holding it on? i cant seem to find anything?

You need a steering wheel puller. Try eBay or motor factors. £20 ish.

Mines the same wheel, i just took the nut off and pulled it off, but yours is propably seized worse than mine.

yeah its pretty solid, just realised i dont have work for a few hours 2 not 12 so will give it ago, thats a good guide cheers, did have a quick search but couldnt find much, just mainly project threads. my mates a mechanic/bodywork person sure he has one i could borrow lying around his unit

The one on my Rio Verde Nova wouldn't come off at all! Dunno if ste ever did it, I did in fairness never get the puller to get it off.

My old XE though had 3 or 4 different steering wheels, so it was easy lol.

i remember the rio verde was a mint car :thumb: seen it at the south west motor show many moons ago.

i swear i was also enquiring to buy when it was up for sale
