here i have my nova gsi for sale.as you can see by the pics its in excellant condition and been well looked after.i bought it as a project as it has an excellant shell,doors are mint,tiny bubble on bottom corner,boot lids brand new,boot floor solid and had new slam panel and car has been fully under sealed.the car runs perfect,no rattles or smoke at all,the engines been treated to....
kent cam and vernier pully,fully rebuilt engine
janspeed 4 branch manifold
magnew system
fk coilovers 3 month old
astra sxi alloys with yokohama rubber
cd player with mp3 and remote
cobra alarm and immobiliser
brand new headlights from vauxhall

Rear arches FULL of filler/sealer, slam panel fitted by stevie wonder with untreated bear rusty **** welds, under front arches seam sealer all rotten underneath, exhaust rattles its tits off, rear chasis rails gone, behind rear bumper rotten and will defo not pass a "ledgit MOT"

I purposely asked the seller before i set off "does it need any work mate?" he replies no pal its mint, i know my novas

I would always be suspicious that a 'MINT' Gsi would a) have a rusty tailgate and b) be £1500

If it was that bad though (sounds like it!) I would be peeved too!

I dont think there are any decent Gsi's or GTE's left that arent on one of the forums at least....

This was my mates car, he sold it about 2 week ago !!

13k miles, lol i don't think so. Its had about 2 or 3 engines in it and probly the same amount of box's, the rocker cover is painted Yellow isn't it ? i've done small jobs on it in the past, i wouldn't go as far to say its a 'nail' bit its definatly not a 'mint 13k miler', not sure how much he sold it for.

I don't think its ever been badly smashed or owt, but i'm pretty sure its had rear arch repair panels in the past and also wings / slam panel, also those 'brand new' headlights i think came from my garage !!

Looks like this laddo's bought it and realised its not quite as mint as he first thought and is trying to get rid, i'll see if i can find out how much he paid for it.

It was on piston head afew weeks ago for 1300 if you look through. the guy must of sold it to this fella then he must of seen its a nail or needs work should i say he cant be assed with it and wants to sell it on no chance 1500 for it if what you says wrong with it. mint being a understatement lol ...

everyone has their own opinion of mint... but a seat boltster that worn is a sure sign of big useage. the panel fit is wobbly, the lh indicator isn't straight, there are no photos of the engine bay or boot floor

all told, the photos give the game away

What I am saying is that those words should be banned from all ads... If a car has done 8000 miles and been garaged for all its life, you should be able to gauge that it should be pretty good nick etc..

If a Gsi has done 206k and has been parked on a pier probably wont be quite as clean.

im lookin 4 a proper mint standardish gsi the last 2 years nearly on and off and id say 2 have came up 4 sale both i missed out on, there just not there anymore..

id nearly dig up the thread where i was told i was mad thinkin a 12000 mile white gsi standard was worth 3k lol

I still think you are mad.

Its coming to the point where to buy a Nova you'll need a couple of grand spare. To be honest, I'd rather spend that on something else - one of the old advantages of a Nova was they were cheap to buy, run, mod, etc, seems thats now no longer the case.

Incidentally, look on Pistonheads. How many >£1500 novas are for sale on there? Now look at all the <£600 ones - they've almost all sold. Doesn't matter how "mint" it is, if the price is right it will sell, and the big money ones just don't appear to be selling.

i bought my gte the doors havent been repaired that well and it will want a rear arch soon enough but i think to find a nova that doesent need/want for anything is not the case anymore.
