fuel gauge has gone tits up !!!! help

fuel gauge is earthing out some where i have had the sender checked and i hav replaced the clocks 3 times and checked the cable up to the loom, has anyone expearinced this befor... thanks

If it's not the gauge or wiring it's usually the sender that's knackered. Which petrol tank have you?

check for continuity with a multimeter down the wire between the gauge and sender. If no continuity there's the problem

i have the twist in metal sender, (1.3 sr carded)

hmmmmmmm question have you changed the clocks from Pov spec ones to shiny 6 gauge ones?

lol the fuel gauge on my B reg is allover the place it wont stay still lol. reads empty when ive got at least half a tanks lol.

its alright from full down to half but from half to empty it just doesnt sit still
