Project Looney tune!

Well i've never done a project thread before but thought i would do for my new one, Last friday i picked up this more door loon for the bargain price of £225 with a full tank of fuel:d Was up at £500 but some with some gentle persuasion i soon got it down;)

Any how this is the gem i was faced with when i turned up to buy it

I was very impressed to say the least, slight corrosion on the rear passenger wing but hardly anything worth noticing otherwise everything was sound and it made the 100 odd mile journey back without a hiccup.

Then last night (wednesday) just 5 days after i got it home and gave it some lovinlol - some nice fellow decided they'd best take it for a test drive for me. The problem was they forgot to ask me if it was ok first:(
Luckily i found it a couple of hours later sideways down a track with half a tree missing:cry:

Luckily the chassis legs look ok but it'll be goin on a jig to see whats what soon enough, at least it's safe now anyways i guess:)

The engine is also absolutely fubarred and it was stuck in reverse, The worst thing was my house was about 20 miles away so at about 4 this mornin i reckon i completed a world reversing recordlol

lol thanks dude!! Hopefully gettin a 1.6 for it sometime soon and then when it's all sorted i can get back on with what i originally had planned for it ;)

Well i do try Spud!!lol!! Luckily i've still got the bonnet of my blue one and had a spare pair of headlights at home i even discovered this afternoon that a brand new bumper i put behind my old work nigh on 4 months ago is still there so it ain't all so bad. I even found a more door loon in scrappers the other day so maybe it was meant to be!!!lol!!!!

Thats just the thing i've always had a snap off on all of my cars from the off but i lent it out thinking i wouldn't have a car for a while and was just waiting to get it back :'(

Well i haven't updated this in ages but it's back on the road not completely repaired but gettin there :) Anyway when it started snowin i bought an engine so thought what the hell i may aswell get crackin! The problem was the crane i borrowed is rated to 5 tonnes as my mates dad uses it for lorries and it doesn't fold so how do you transport an engine crane that big that doesn't fold?????

My mate had one in the hole where the handbook goes in the glovebox.
Hope all turns out and the theives get caught or worse.

*official engine change abandonement 1.6 carb engine and all ancilliarries for sale make me a sensible offer :thumb: onto plan B which man upset some people so keep your eyes peeled! (Probs not for a while though as am totally brassic now!!)

Well i haven't done fook all to this for aaages as it was supposed to be in a unit but after being sat outside for a year i had enough when the guy said i owed him £180 to cut a long story short i told the guy he was in breach of a verbal contract but he was very awkward and told the farmer who's land it was on not to let us have the car we spent the entire day politely asking for my nova back untill the farmer went mental and attacked me and my mate with a hammer!!! we calmly left rang the police and gave them everyone involved's names, about an hour later i went and collected my nova!!lol This is what it looked like :(
