got a bit of a hybrid setup on my car. its a 1.6 running a 1.4sr ignition system thru the existing 1.2 ignition live. ive added an additional earth to complete the circuit as the 1.2's ignition earth's thru the body of the coil to the chassis.

where's a good spot to earth it properly ? at the moment ive stuck it to the inner body side of the gearbox earth strap, but ive had a bit of trouble with earths conflicting at this point. should i re-rig it to somewhere on the body, so its on its own circuit ?

oh and another thing, the 1.2 ignition live is kinda skinny, will it be wise to replace this wire or will it be cool ?

infact, lemme re-phrase that, where on a 1.4sr does the coil earth go ? it tracks back up the loom somewhere.

IIRC the 14sr's earth goes back into the loom about a ft and then back to the gearbox earth, thats a good earth point, good as any where else.

As long as it works forget about it!
