/\ LOL.
Is the extra cost of 40's worth it for a few mm less in rolling radius?
If your cars low (More so at the front) then yes 40's are definately worth it imo. Mine............

I would advise 40's just for arch clearance alone.

If you want skinny, the Yoko A539 was like a rubber band on my Alessios in a 45. yet the Rainsports in the same profile looked monsterous in comparison.

Yeah this man talks sense.
The A539 is tiny. However the Toyo has quite a side wall in comparasion.
Pic on route of A539.

They catch a lot less but spin up a lot easier Imo

Spin up as in wheelspin? Or spin up as in acceleration? I feel the 15's for acceleration since dropping the 16's.

I have those Yokohama's on the back - I was thinking about them all round for the car actually so I can keep the 195/45 tyres...
Cheers for the pics etc :thumb:

As said already good for arch clearence if your planning on running the car really low! Pretty harsh ride quality though.

As above....Toyos Vaughan! The side walls are excellent on them. Myself and Keith use them with no issues and both our cars are pretty low. I investigated quite a few 195/40 16's at our local tyre supplier and the toyo's were the best suited to a low nova with the allesios 6.5 width.
Nick.
My Allesios which are currently on my hatch are for my saloon and run Dunlop Sp Sport 9000 195/40-16, I've never known it to catch and its currently -100mm at the rear, they are a brilliant tyre in the dry but not super in the wet. The allesio that are intended for the hatch (which are currrently being refurbed) have 195/45-16 Pirelli P5000 Dragos and are excellent in both wet and dry. When it comes to replacing any set though, I'll be looking at the Toyos as there reasonably priced and great for the money. To be fair though 45's are noticably more comfortable imo
