My Project(s) 90 SR, 88 1.3L, 93 hatch

I thought I would show my current projects. The SR is being worked on as time permits, but it is used daily in the interim. The 1.3L is my other halfs car - described by the MOT tester as the cleanest car he has seen of its age, with 42k on. Although useful with our baby (5dr) its nippy having the 13SB engine.

Plans for the SR are: New n/s wing (needs painting and fitting), underseal for winter, replace bumpers (front scuffed), fit standard mudflaps back on, fit braided brake hoses and greenstuff pads to the 256mm calipers, replace exhaust and repaint drivers door/poss replace o/s rear arch.

Only real plans are to fit the 256mm brakes sat in the garage as standard Nova brakes are terrible! It is probably fairly close to concourse when its washed and polished!

the sr is a lovely car matey keep her standard sr looks though thats the way they lookethe best imo very nice though!!

Update;

The SR has been off the road since August for some "remedial attention" which has escalated to a fair few £000 spent!! Ready for some more road rallies now though!!

To list the work;

1400 engine rebuilt - new waterpump, cambelt and block painted red
Cylinder head ported and polished in correct places due to "modified head" bought on here being a load of rubbish
Piper BP270 cam fitted
Flywheel lightened
Brakes overhauled - new disks, calipars rebuilt, new greenstuff pads, new pipes, braided goodridge hoses, rear shoes, wheel cylinders
New bottom arm ball joints both sides
Brand new GM headlights both sides
New clear indicators
Front bumper resprayed
New GM passenger wing
Drivers door replaced
OMP rear cage added
New GM steering column
New GM top bush/shroud
Repair to rear chassis leg near tow hook
Front towhook painted red
Bumper mounted number plate - legal
Rear strut brace
Front sparco strutbrace

Seats professionally steam cleaned - like new now!!

They are so effective though especially for road rallying - saves mud being sprayed up the side of the car!

I was going to put my vauxhall ones on but I am sticking with the red ones!

The above are as I bought it - put the 3 spokes on then current wheels;

In the above pic with the fox 13" wheels on you can see the badly rotted rear arches and drivers door - all recently cured!

The red one looks great!! Would love a mk2 to add to the collection,

We have all been there - check this out. Bought from ebay standard years ago for £33.01! Then used up all the boy racer stuff on it and sold it to a guy in Bristol - its still declared sorn - anyone seen or know it?

The SR bumper was mint as was the blue SR trim - sadly Nova bits were worthless then and after breaking loads of Novas for spares for the rally car these bits were in abundance - wish I had them now lol
