I've completed the change over to a rose jointed gear linkage, I'm wondering what lubricant is used on the rose joints to protect them as well as smooth the action?

I thought light smearing with copperslip would fir the bill.

Thoughts.

No copperslip. It consists of copper particles & isnt a lube, more an anti-seize compound.
Just a light smear of grease if anything, I'd imagine the RJ's should be good for many years as they are kind of 'over engineering' the linkage tbh. Corrosion is more of an issue which a smear of grease should help against.

the rose joints i have brought had little oil nipples on them.ive filled them with oil and the linkage has been stood a couple months, seems a bit stiff again so hopefully re-oiling them will solve it.

not using the car to notice the difference yet.

Thanks chaps, a light smear of grease might attract dirt, what about bike chain lube, I think that doesn't attract grit or grime.

a silicone spray then wipe off the excess should do the trick
