it lost it's ignition spark. I traced this to the hall effect switch inside the electronic distributor, so I imported a brand new higher spec dizzy from Australia - but never got around to fitting it so currently it is a non runner for this reason only. The replacement new dizzy and a brand new carburettor are included in the sale.
So fit the damned distributor and sell it as a runner for a much higher price? Dick.

Adverts that say stuff like that really get my goat. If the guy can't be bothered to replace what he's making out to be a really simple fix, then why not do it himself? Methinks there's more to it than that and for that reason I wouldn't touch it.

^ I'd be inclined to agree. However, if I was interested myself then I would go and view the car and ask if I could fit the new dizzy. Simples.

Oz muscle rocks. I have a lot of family in Perth WA (I emigrated with the parents but we came back :/) and when my cousin was 17 the tw@t had a Mustang lol.

Seems fishy to me too, importing the car from Australia then not doing anything with it for 4 years. Not likely to be a very simple fix is it.
