right im using firefox and cant seem to get anysound from video's on like youtube or anythink like that anyone got any ideas?
and please no silly turn the volume up

yup it was all of a sudden sort of thing must have done something to it that it didnt like

Odd, It did happen to me before, Installed something and it worked again, Google your problem and you should find and answer.

for a lot of people the newest version causes lots of problems not just sound, some is easily sorted and others take a bit more shouting at lol, if you cant sort it when you have tried simple stuff like un-install the re-install/ restart and/or install/update flash player, failing that cant you go back to using the older version only update if you know you need the new version if not stick with what works for you and your needs i think its 3.0.12 that is stable ? 3.1 is were the problems/bugs start.

that happened to me once. dunno what it was so i just reinstalled it which fixed it

Does sound work in other apps? Do you still have access to the volume control in windoze?
