Hi Guys i'm after a gearbox specialsit company in the middlesex region, i'm getting that warn wheel bearing whinning noise eventhough all the bearings have recently been change. The noise does not get progresively louder as you got faster thus a local mechanic said it needs gearbox specialist attention.

Can anyone help please :thumb:

At work, ebay restrictions, will check when i get home.

I wouldn't have a clue to do it myself, i suppose you'll need a torque rench and all sorts.

The ebay link is an F10/F13/F15/F17 rebuild kit.

The product featured is a complete high performance rebuild kit and repair solution, for Vauxhall F10/F13/F15/F17* 5 Speed Gearbox Types. The following product can be used in the following Vauxhall models: Cavalier Vectra "A" > 1996, Vectra "B" 1996 onwards, Nova, Corsa "A ", Corsa "B", Tigra, Kadette, Belmont, Astra "F" > 1998, Zafira. The rebuild kit is equipped with the necessary bearings, gaskets and oil seals required to rebuild the unit. The product packaged consists of 1x Drive Shaft Front Bearing, 1x Drive Shaft Rear Bearing, 1x Drive Shaft Rear Bearing 1x Main Shaft Front Bearing*, 1x Main Shaft Rear Bearing, 1x Differential Bearing Set, 1x Oil Seal Set, 1x Gasket Set. Please note we only use high quality branded bearings ensuring that our products are high in quality and performance. * Before you order this kit you must inform the sales team of the size of the Main Shaft Front Bearing as they are available in 3 different sizes (24mm x 44mm, 24mm x 44.5mm, 25mm x 44.5mm). If the gearbox is for the F17 type, please inform the sales team as the rebuild kit description will differ in terms of change of selected bearing model numbers.

When you split the box you basically get this:

So you change the gubbins on those shafts, and press a few bearings into the gearbox housing itself.

For what its worth though I'd buy a used runner for £30-60, change the fluid and fit it.

You buy the rebuild kit, drop the (or any F13 you want while I take a little time) gearbox off with me, leave it a little while.... jobs a carrot

Too be honest it is my daily driver thus need someone to do the job for me as quick as possible, is this something you could do?

PM me for charge etc..

I cant do it that fast as this month is mega busy weekend wise.

But what you could do is find a cheap F13 CR and then rebuild that. then simply swap the boxes and voila, one fairly "new" box.
