The best thing to do is either try another mount or file the hole out in the mount then you can lower it to where it needs to be.

Common problem with xe mounts though, causes me no end of bother with the tie bars I sell as every fooking nova xe's engine sits in a different place !

I used the centre hole on my mounts, and still had a mare with it.

been talking to a few people and they said that when you do a xe/let conversion on a nova you have to lower the engine by 25mm,by drilling out the engine bracket on the body and rewelding them on,if this is the case, wouldnt the back g/box mount need lowering as the engine will be leaning forward am i right, also i have never heard of doing this as everyone would say it or are they talking rubbish, the reason why im asking is that im gonna grind off the f28 mount, and put it in a different position as my mates mate has welded it up too high, dont ask why cos i am annoyed by it anyway, just want to get a few things straight before i my other mate comes round to redo the f28 mount, imgetting to a stage now of just giving up the car is driving me mad now

ive done that so many thimes the f28 body mount seems to be a tad high,if i do tighten them all up the engine sits up on the passenger side about 10mm and the inner cv(cv boot) hits the body, dont wanna run a spacer as dont like them to be honest,so i think its just easier to just grind it off then rewled it on in a different postion, plus the engine will be leveld out properly then i hope lol
