I had my policy for 3 weeks when I made a claim, do insurance companies let a policy roll over for a months so that I could gain a full years NCB?

Yes i understand that, but i was wondering if they would allow an extra month to be added on, making it a year without claiming

An extra month added on to the policy, so instead of making it a 12 month policy, it turns into a 13month policy because of his early claim.

Thats how i read it as any how...

i wonder if i have a crash after 5 1/2 months theyd let me extend it to 18months so i get a years no-claims ??

im genuinly lost as to why you think they would ? a 12 month insurance policy is 12 months from the date/time of issue, you cant then phone back and say actually start it from now

lol I see now

Short answer, no, unless you cancel the policy after the claim and re-insure. I'm sure some companies do automatically cancel policies once a claim has been made, but I think this is only for write off claims

Oh I wrote both cars off I believe. Defiantly mine anyway, since then I've insured 1 Corsa and 2 Novas on the policy it has just fluctuated in price and fees paid
