I ran my old Sport everyday for a couple of years and it was my only car, it never let me down. It was about 15 miles each way , always used to start first time even with the twin carbs and fast road cam.
But in this scenario, i can probably safely say im sure your sport will have been built, maintained to a higher standard than most of the young'uns would be able or afford!

TBH it was 8-10 years ago and although I looked after my cars I probably didnt to the same standard as I do now. Also I didnt have a great deal of spare cash at that time(Not that I do now either lol).
