Corsa XE, should i do it? have 1hr to decide as I'm watching a really clean Corsa sport on ebay, so should i do it for an everyday car and get rid of the passat??

Opinions needed quickly
(although if i don't buy one today i still need the opinions of everyone lol)

Should of said the Passat now has these faults

Pass window don't work (was jammed up, but has started dropping again!)
And the central locking on this door no longer works

Drivers window is developing the same early fault signs as the pass had before it packed in!
central locking from this door dose not work for locking and unlocking etc.

Rear driver side, no central locking or lec window.

Sun roof is starting to stick and make nasty noise!

All door locks that work have to be locked/unlocked via boot lock (god knows how long this will last till i have no way of locking the car! lol)

Spend the money you would spend on buying/XEing the corsa on fixing what are just minor faults on the ass-pat which have just been left to build up lol

I do lol :thumb:

Theres your answer then, fix the pat and use the nova for naughty days lol

What he said. You've got an XE Nova, why get a Corsa aswell??!!

If the Passat has its faults then spend the money on sorting them rather than a Coras whihc will need money spending on it. Remember its your everyday transport....

Hummm would rather get rid of the sat then fix, as VW parts new/labor would be silly money, and i looked into it before (infact do you member me saying about the window probs at billing) and even 2nd hand it's still going to be over £400 to fix all probs, then the cars only a 90bhp oil burner worth £1200 MAX!

Grr..... Save up and buy a Astra mk5 CDTI i think lol

So get your spanners out and fit the bits needed yourself, save you half the dollar as they wont be too hard to fit dude, ive had countless offers to buy my cav and ive refused them all as i want something i can just dive into and bimble about in comfort, i think you will miss it if you get shut for another small rattly car car like a nova/corsa, cos you know youd get bored and want more/faster so youd end up stripping it out and tickling the engine up a bit too lol

scott.parker

Well i priced all the parts up via online methods and for the ENTIRE window regs they are £80-100 2nd hand each, then the door locks/handles £60 each!

Im sure you can get those seperate tbh scott as we has a seat ibiza in the other day and that just had the wire part of the reg replaced and it cam without the motor, just the framework and cabling!

It's not like working on a nova, when you work on a VW it take twice as long just to undo/take things off as they use TWICE as many screws/bolts as anyone els does, and then you find they have also glued on what your trying to take off with some mega strength industrial glue that should of rotted away by now! lol
