polishing upper strut brace

Is it possible to polish an alloy strutbrace?
If so how would i go about doing this from start to finish.
what grit's would i need and tools?

and any pics of ones people have polished would be great.

1, is it painted or bare?

Unpainted, get some 320 grit and sand, then 800, then 1000 then start polishing up.

Painted, strip paint, 180grit, then 320, 800 then 1000 then polish up.

Polishing can be done with a old towel (cut in to bits) and atuosolve.

it has been sanded down to the bare alloy
