Completly wrong owners club but bothered.

Anyone had any dealings with the aforementioned?? Mk1 Focus (51 reg) 1.6 16v Zetec unit.

Vehicle is sale of the century BUT the engine is a write off (13 eaten valves via snapped belt) replacement 51k mile engine (no box) with 28 day warranty is a miniscule £350 delivered from a reputable Ford breakers.

Any input?

Make sure its the right engine as a couple of variants and there not compatible.

easy enough to drop it out the bottom with the box etc attached then do the work then lift it back in as complete unit,

As said make sure that the engine is the right one, for some unknown reason ford had loads of different varients of the same engine! Its a pain to be honest! but as its a reputable for breakers they should be good to drop n slot

Right, just got off the phone from the seller, basically its been run with no oil (school boy error lol lol) & as a result its knocking its face off haha!!

EDIT: Well the breakers ive spoken to are willing to knock £100 off the replacement engine on the condition they can have the funked one for spares, so there is that.

Agreed about the engine differences. I swapped one into my mates 51 plate Zetec S fiesta after it had thrown a rod and he got the Focus 1600 Zetec by mistake, very different in loads of annoying places lol.

Sounds a deal mate!
