mirror mirror on the wall !

I've been trying to find a set of mirrors.

I wanted something jap/motorsport, so I looked at the bomex mirrors or get some others and modify them to look like them. No good though

Second was the ganador carbon fibre mirrors, but at ?400 + there was no chance.

So now I'm looking at these two if I can get em.

Can u tell me which ones you reckon.

Personally I'm not keen on either, sorry. I suppose you'd have to look at which set suit the style of your car.

Modify the mirrors already out.

e.g. M3's = take a 'slice' off the top and another at a 45 degree angle (sort off), then re-mould them back, so you'd have some mr's, but more angular. (probably sounds shit, but i'm not explaining it well i think. I know waht i mean, and it sounds good to me :lol: )

Or add 'ridges', like two 'backlbones' running along the mirror from top to base, and so that they start in a point at the outside, and flare out towards the bottom. (Again, looks good in my head, hard to explain. :lol: )

Or fit the New Mini one's (one piece windows too). A slightly dubious idea, perhaps?

out of the 2 mirrors there i think that the ecosse mirrors wud suit best as u got urself a chunky hard lookin car, but makesure they tie in with all the other mods, i rekon summit chunky like them ecosse things r quite sweet

but marty K modded sum m3s jsu to b different and u shot him down 4 it! i kno everyone has different tastes etc and im not wanting to start a row jus making a point

Did it? I can't remember doing it though, or that K modified some M2 mirrors. Do youmean on that 'runabout' that ended up looking a bit like a Golf? Cos they weren't 'modified' mirrors.

Yea I wanted something more chunky, but I was trying to keep an open mind on everything.

Marty is there anychance you could mess around with some mirrors on painshop pro and show me ur ideas, coz I cant picture them.

Yea Freak, i wanted some Manta mirrors (as mine got ripped off by some thieving fuckers), but i've sorted out something else now. For the time being, as i tend to change my mind daily.

I did look at other mirrors off other cars.

Looked at vectra ones, thought they may look good, but decided against it.

I think its the ones off the pontiac, not sure though.

It been decided now anyway.

Bought a set of Aerodynamic DTM mirrors, smaller than normal ones.

Modifying them to look like the Bomex mirrors. which was my original plan.

One idea i did like was what Mhyneer have done to a set of M3 mirrors. Pic in the new redline on the silver rover.

Yep. Apart from they are mainly for Civic's and other jap cars. And cost ?380 or so.

i just got meself a set of M5 mirrors, they look sweet!, will get some new pics up of my car soon, it's totally changed :) bat2 bumper 17s etc etc
