Yes, people have replaced them with all sorts.

From Digi dashes out of Astra GTE's, to Auto-Meter (or whatever make u want) gauges, to full on Stack thing's (forgot what they're called now lol) and to having a whole dash made up from scratch.

Just replace the instrument panel with a digi dash, or replace with a 'blank' panel, into which you can fit gauges. Get hold of the speedometer and etc from the New Mini, or something.

Sky's the limit!

Oh, what car is it for? Mk1 or 2?

with the digi dash you got the following onit;
speedo
temp gauge
battery gauge
tachometer
fuel gauge
oil level gauge

Cant think of anything else u would actually want on ya nova apart from them...

You have got to admit that the stack dashboard does look good though and is not often seen fitted to a road car

Will fit in any car as far as I know, but it costs about a grand!! Brett Warbuton has one in his Nova.

They are not out of anything in particular,

The company supply dashboards and rev counters to racing and rallying.

Have a look, there is some really nice stuff on there.

On that program with that vet building kit cars - a race car is born he used a similr unit which was fastened to the steering wheel in he centre but was a fully digital display capable of timing your 0-60 time and all sorts of cool stuff and that wasnt that expensive either.
