just having some thoughts
running a twin engine set up how would you go about the gear selectors to make them both go into the correct gear
been tryin to search on here and google but nothing really came up about it
how would people go about doing it
i.e rear set up for suspension etc aswell

cheers nathan

Put adjuster yokes on each cable and adjust until they're in sync :).

ok so next problem is how would i connect it up so they both go into the same gear as the rear engine will go into say 2nd when the front is in 1st and so forth

You connect the cables from the same direction at the gearstick, so the rear ones will go forwards from the gearstick, then loop around say into the passenger footwell, towards the rear of the car and then to the gearbox.

I think Chip reversed the selector turret on his when he did it but I could be wrong. If you took the selector turret off and stripped it down, drilled it so that the fork came out of the front instead of the back, that might help.

hmm sounds complicated i like the first idea lol
i could get a astra coupe (or simular) gear selector and run cables instead just then need to change the turrets about or the gearbox's

chip did it right in the end and used a VX220 stick + cables + an F23 for his :D

syncing them up isnt going to be 'hard'

To behonest, this is in line with the "how do I make something a bit tricky" questions in that if you have to ask you cant do it (or havent thought about it enough)

i had my thoughts of using 2 f23's and bits from a astra coupe or simular
but was thinking maybe theres some way that hasnt been said about were i could use the f20's
im gathering info not jumping straight into it i like to plan things first :thumb:
