E30 M3 was silly quick, easily one of the fastest cars out the weekend!

Did see you mate but only on the track, I was watching when you were out and didnt see you on the car park when i was up there. Car looked good mate, cracking time. I did 15 laps, 5 in the belting down rain but didnt time any. Did a cracking lap on the sunday eveing but dont know how fast it was..

The other guys are still out there, did the GP track today the lucky buggers! I had to come back to work.

The only thing im missing is video footage of a drive by, i really want to know what it sounds like, all i hear inside is throttle bodies lol...

I wanted to stay untill wednesday but work commitments put pay to that, their is another tourist day on the GP track coming up i think im going to try and make that 1...

Cheers Benn, it's not quiet show room finish but it was buitl to be abused so im happy with the finish, i still have not decided on bumper colour yet and i now need to re paint the driver & pass footwell, we went for a walk on the track and got sand inside! combine that with feet = no paint lol

Cheers, but it is not setup perfectly i can only get the power down in a straight line out at the ring, to be able to keep it down more mid bend i need to soften up the spring which i am doing.

The fellow out their explained what its all about, the amount of crests and the way the track drops away the spring needs to be softer than you would normally run..

I run Spax RSX coilovers on the front "350lb Spring" Damper setting 20
Spax RSX Dampers on the rear with a normal spring unknown rate, i am having some custom springs made up so we will se how they turn out.

For the ring the front speing should be 150-200lb spring.. this was on advice from a local who has been setting up cars for 18 years, who am i to argue to? i will be going back with a setup to match his advice and i hope to get under 8:30

just had a intresting chat with a SPAX Technician, he is a petrol head and watched my lap, he said the symptoms im getting is a combination of REAR spring rate/damping not front, he says the way the car lurches off the floor is where the car is transfering too much weight too fast, he said next time it happens turn up the damping on the rear!

I did explain i dont know what the type/rate of the spring is on the back at the mo also as im having new ones made up that are 300lb pigtails... we shall see :)

Yeah, when you cain it weight is transferring off the front end to the rear due to rear springs/shocks being soft..... /\
