hi huys fairly new to the forum just thought id post couple pics of my gte hope to get posting and find some meets nova stuff going on:)

lovely! dont change a thing. theres one almosy identicle to yours round my way (but red) and everytime i see it i want to stop and chat, but i'm usually working. so other than the exterior, any plans?

Great example of a rare model, would love a genuine laser blue GTE :)
it has had a bit of body work done when i bought it as the bloke bought it to play with in summer but then unfortunately got burgeld he owned if for a month prevouis to that it has been owned by one lady all its life meaning its done 47k every mot from 1993 ( its first one ) all its sevice stamps upto 7k ago and lots of reciepts for it. its totally orginal by that i mean radio, floor mats, spare wheel, not modding it but would like to MAYBE just lower it 30-40mm just to give it a better stance as the front sits really high!!

Lovely.... I'm not a purist by an means, but please don't even lower it. I reckon it would take away from what the car has.

new in 1990 mot in 1993 yeah im very unsure but i mean i can always whip the stnadards back on if i need/wanted to mate i know where your coming from though. just in at a very reputable garage who we know having a full service cambelt and having a look at the idle sometimes idles very low and sometimes revs up to 2000 by its self but once that is sorted will be lovely puts a smile on my face evertime i get in it :D

Silly me... the brains not working right. Its 4 years over here until you have to mot.
Theres no doubt the lowering would look great but its just so nice and standardy :p (at the risk of sounding like that wudgy fella)

cheers guys glad you like it i do get some looks i have to say specially as im only 19 :d waited a while to find the right one was worth it specially with its history ill try get some pics up of the reciepts folder etc !!!
Needs a novadose kit... I dare you lol Does look nice but needs the optional extras box ticked next to 3 spokes imo, not that I like 3 spokes much but it's better than the trims and still original
Very nice mate, i had a GTE in the same colour about a year ago, beautifull, mine was nowhere near the condition of yours though lol amazing car mate, i say lower it like you've said and get some mint 3 spokes on it all in the aid of handling/better stance, its not like your going kingdom developements is it lol

ha yeah i love the colour lazer blue red pin stripes have been re done the vynils re blacked new decals the lot really looks awesome wanna try get to trax maybe let you guys have a look and yeah wouldnt mind some 3 spokes but wanna lower it on trims just cos its naughty :d
Three spokes on this will look a lot better imo and a small drop ftw

Imo, 30 - 35 mm drop and oe wheels/trims as she is will look awesome, please refrain from anything more than this, your car is gorgeous:thumb:

I think I might cry! Still maintain my old lazer blue GTE was the best car I've owned. Just a shame it was so rotten. Would quite happily sell a family member for that one lol

well atm im using it yeah as i just sold my mint corsa gsi which i also hunted for being in such good condition !but i dont use it for work i leave for work at 7 get back at half 4 and have van so i only use it if i go out at night or weekends really. and as for the insurance im insured on my dads work policy which he pays yearly and is a fair few thousand so to add a little driver and car like me cost not to much my corsa was 900 group 11 the nova is 700 group 11 so not to bad really its very nippy as well!!

Theres a white one on there similar condition at the moment for £4500

half and half mate,i only want to use it on nice days,but work say i have to use it because i work at a audi car dealer and they wont let me drive audi's untill they have seen me drive my car because ive not long passed my test:)
it's not garaged it's kept outside with a cover on it:thumb:

yeah will get some mate no worriers just sent it in for a service cambelt good going over really make sure its right another reciept for the folder :d tiny rip on drivers bolster !! but the dash if fully working everything works orgininal radio ,mats the lot just want it little lower little stiffer will be lovely thanks for the shop mate !!!:thumb:

no rust on the outer body just been re done. engine bay has has 1 3cm square piece welded next to the strut 3 mots ago at 41 thou! bay looks pretty much rust free chassis legs are solis boot is clean battery tray is clean so alright really rear arches have been undersealed i did notice this morning the spash gaurd is it ? behind the wheel in the wing was starting to go at the bottom but see how it goes we have a welder i know the basics of welding my dad can weld very well so should be ok if its going bad will make a new piece as get it in and sealed.

imho leave the wheel trims on as you just dont see them(apart from the odd one)anymore! a nice outward rolled 3"tail would too look nice with your -40mm drop

all selling ideas have gone mate. (had a pregnancy on the cards lol and we all know thats a nova killer :d )
but yeah lowered it 40mm last night on springs want shocks for it now also looking for a stainless for it ? really didnt want to sell it thats why i put it up for such high money but hearing what my girlfriend all the time and my plates getting nicked ( original dealer ones !!!) i went into sensible mode lol.
all is not lost :d

before you get this stainless exhaust and shocks i now very strongly reccomend a good thatcham cat 1 alarm/imob(if you dont already have)make this a first.

i was thinking that the day i picked it up then forgot about it but not sure where/how to go about it?? and could do with a set of doors really although they have been repaired and painted and look very good if you pop the door card off the rapair is not great at all.
but if anyone could recomend how to get an alarm sorted im in lincolnshire btw that would be great

you should of seen the nurses faces when i came round the corner to pick my missus and new baby up with the full stainless goin pop pop pop priceless lol , and my girls have grown up with lowered cars as they have all been lowered so there use to it now kind of sends them to sleeplol

yeah true mate need to get the new total vaux i meant not the visual of therpair tere is alot of fibre glass and filler and rot combined lol

I had that the other week in the sr:d
Two cav sri's parked up side of the road,and they gave me the thumbs up as i went passed them,great init:thumb:
ive just fitted a alarm to mine, its only a cheap one but does the job and i have also made some other tweaks to stop it starting :P

thanks mate i didnt pay quite that but then i serviced cambelted it etc had it all checked but i didnt really want to sell it so i put it at first for what it stood me at then after a few days of selling itto myself i said feckkk it ill only sell it if someone wants to give me good money knew i wouldnt sell it really but no harm had a few offers though.
but my personal problems are sorted now. wished i could of got it on show a trax see what responses critisim i get but missed it hay ho next time :)
