i got a colourtune sparkplug tester on my engine earlier in the day and i couldnt get any colour out of it, despite unscrewing the mixture screw to the point it was actually out, the colour stayed relavitly whitish, which indicates its running lean. any ideas what could cause this ?

re check your timing mate on the belt as it sounds like its a tooth out which means valves could be opening at slighty the wrong time restricting the fuel and air it needs

you have cam timing, which is easy, line the 2 notches up....

then dizzy timing, set it up at about middle....

then if the tuner says it is lean, then wind the mixture screw till it gets more fuel.

if this doesn't work, take it to a local garage & get them to set it up.

done all that, cant afford a garage. :(
