Jet seems happy with his V6 Astra. It might be worth looking at changing your susspension setup, bushes and other parts that affect the handling so that you can get the power down better.

its too heavy

you should have fitted a 2litre turbo, handling of the astra is the best part about it! kiss goodbye to that with a v6 lump.

If it's what you want, good for you.

V6's drop into a MK2 well. Got a few friends on VxlSCC with them. One 2.5 and one 3.0 both have had uprated front suspension to cope with the extra weight and handle just fine and stonk along. Good on ya for doing summat a bit different.

Have to admit, I would sitck with the 2ltr Engine, easy to get 250BHP out of it and is still strong.

v6 engine s are fuckin mint, real power without needing a turbo and the weight is only slightly heavier than a turbo lump
