View Full Version : Nova GSi Rear end badges.

It was pointed out to me at Billing that my standard GSi has a few extra stick on badges on it's a*se than it should have.

I'm pretty sure the last owner wouldn't have put them on, so i assume the supplying Vauxhall Dealer added them in Feb 1992.

It currently looks like.

I realise there maybe an issue if the griffin was removed with paint fade, but one option is to remove it.

This'll just leave the Vauxhall text extra.

Or should i go the whole hog and put it back to how it should be.

So do i leave it as is, it's the history of the car, and being the second owner it's be wrong to change it?

Remove the griffin and keep the text. or,

Put it back as it was and should be as an original example.

What are your thoughts?

I'd be wary that the griffin may have a couple of pins on it going into the bodywork

I think i'm alright, stickers don't have pins. lol

It's not a raised griffin, just a round sticker. ;)

DO NOT TOUCH THE BADGES!!!!


The later 92/93 GSi's had all those badges on them from new!!

Earlier models had the GSi badge and a square griffin!

I looked for the round griffin sticker and VAUXHALL badge the whole time I had my K reg GSi and never got them (my tailgate had been painted at some point before I got it)

O.K. I have a 1993 Nova range brochure and they just have the GSi decal on the back.

i say lose the badges m8 they just look a lot more tidy with out i just got a red gsi as well but mine didnt av the griffin but did av the vauxhall badge and i took that 1 off still got the gsi sticker tho that b staying:p

I would keep it how it is i havent removed mine as i think they look fine i should take the irmscher badge off but meh.
