60mph on normal roads, 70 on motorways & dual carriageways.....

about 18mph/1000rpm is a good guess

An indicated 120mph at about 6k rpm on 185/50R14's, but realistically its much closer to the 100 mark.

i have always maintained that if you got for example QH inner cv's for both big block & small block, the internals should swap over.... if only i can find someone brave enough to try some..............

1.2 spi (4spd f10) top speed is 96mph, have the original sales brochure for my expression lol not sure if that's power or gearbox limited though, however if you search out stuarts sig theres a gearbox calc tool on there:thumb:

MK999, that'd be gearbox+revlimit limited. :)

yeah mean the little spi can do a ton? the crazy 45bhp beast lol

the only way you'd get a 1.2i to reach a ton is if you drove it off a cliff........... 90mph top whack i'd wager.....

vauxhall quote 96 for a new 1.2 spi! thought it might be power limited tbh

Ah ok, I had a 4 speed box on my 1.2 carb that I fitted by mistake once...

to be fair my 1.2 expression did 98 on gps, will the f10 improve acceleration at all?

will the f10 improve acceleration at all?

I don't think it will actually even fit, cos the clutch, flywheel & bellhousing on an f10 installation is way smaller than an f16/20, so the starter won't line up, the input shaft is different, so won't fit into the flywheel, and then there is then problem of the extra torque simply knackering the gears & bearings.

A pal of mine had a corsa XE with a F13 box, it would just spin the wheels for fun, a total pig to drive!

the wheelspin & bad handling were nothing to do with gearbox choice, just idiot driving style.

f10 doesnt fit over the fly wheels any way! f20 it is then

Its power, got mine to hit an indicated 110 @ 4krpm iirc, so can shift quite a bit more!! As a guestimate using a 4-speed F10 you could expect about just over a ton
