with any luck when i get paid next i shoudl have enough money to buy some lowering springs.

i dunno whether to get 60mm springs or 40mm springs.

i know 60mm would look much better than 40mm but i still want the car to be driveable and most of all i want it to handle better.

the car will be lowered on standard shocks cos i cant really afford the shocks just yet

You might have to change your shocks if you stick a set of -60mm springs on standard shocks :?

I did this, but with -30mm springs and found that the lowered springs affected the way the shocks worked and the shocks ended up needed replacing sooner than they were suppose to. You also might find that with Standard shocks and shortened springs, when it comes to MOT time and the garage jack up the back of your car, it's possible that your rear springs will literally fall out. There shouldn't be a problem when the car is on the road, as the weight of the car will compress the suspension anyway.

If you can, I'd recommend you save up for a full suspension kit, shocks and springs. I picked up a Full Apex kit with -60mm springs for just under ?200. You will get better handling from a kit that has been manufactured to lower your car rather than just sticking on some shortened springs.

yup BUT take it easy over speed humps and humped back bridges etc :O the results could be shocking!

one way to over come it is zip tie them in place or twisted fencing wire even better.

depending on your MOT station you may get away with it. i know i did once with the old car

Depends on what kinda roads you drive on tho don't it, smoooooth roads un town roads etc are ok, but country roads with abit of speed = bouncy as fook....

Not that safe when your on ya private race track doing 120ish and you hit a few bumps....i often ended up in the wrong lane finkin how the fook did i get ere lol....So save up and get sum shocks :-D
