Ive just aquired some 195/45/15 tyres and am planning on filling them with some 5 spoke alloys soon.
my nova is a Mk1 sting with no lowering (yet)
the car sits quite high at the moment, does anyone no if the arches would require modding if i were to fit these.
cheers

need to know the wheel offset to tell you weather you need arch mods? but 195/45 tyres r the best size for 15" wheels...
Goto a site which advertises wheels along with their offset so you buy the right ones. You wanna stay as near to the et49 offset as possible. No lower than et45 to be honest without arch mods.
http://www.pvdnet.co.uk
They will have a fair few with the offset shown, usual wheels in 15's in a et 49 offset are Team Dynamics, speedlines, compomotives and more as someone will probably tell you. You should be able to get some without tyres for under ?400 easy but its upto you if you shop at pvdnet!
Another site for wheels is http://www.wheel-base.co.uk/ they have loads but fail to show the offset so find some you like along with the offset and if you aint sure come back and ask here again!

just posted this in the 1.2 tuning thread
hey guys, just went down to my local alloy wheel shop, and found out some tire information for yall
basicly if u got
14" 's then u want 185 / 55 / 14 tires
or get 185 / 60 / 14 tires ( wide may need rear arch rolled a bit )
if u got 15" 's then you want
195 / 45 / 15 tires
thise tyres make sure your car has the same rolling radius as your original 13" steel wheels you once had

oh yeah, and another point, all vauxhalls have a wheel offset of 49mm
so any alloys from any vauxhall will fit ya nova :) neat huh :p

i am sure there is a guide somewhere for doing that.

NOT True....
A lot of vauxhalls don't have wheels with that offset even though they should! Even the gsi 3 spokers were et47!
Alot of the newer vauxhalls have et42 and 38 offsets I think! So these obviously wont fit!
But yeah "generally" for tigra, corsa, calibra etc wheels its ok!
