Having accumalated hundreds of pounds worth of random car parts from the millions of motors ive owned over the past years, im midway into a mahoooosive clear out.

Ive found this strut, it could either be from a SWB Frontera, a Cav or an Astra Mk3? I cant remember what I took it of though! Its not off the Vec as the GSi hub/knuckle doesnt fit it??? I also have a 2 peice hub assembly with a 310mm caliper/disc that was next to it & fits into this strut fine, i *think* it may be Cav GSi OR old Frontera, anyone clear this up??

EDIT: Defo not Frontera gear, there seperate spring shock IIRC!

Any ideas?

Looks like a vectra strut!:thumb:

Not a cav or mk3 astra as they have the hub attached to the shock body in one piece!

The hubs off our GSi Vec dont fit it? And it looks well different to the drivers side face-lift strut thats on the car? Unless face & pre face Vec's differ in suspension?

Not sure what you mean? The shock sperates from the knuckle as the one in your pic has. The hub is pressed into the bearing in the knuckle

Pretty sure no Corsa had brakes as big as 310 before the VXR though!

Gotta be Vec or Astra 4 GSi gear then. Unless a Calibra uses similiar? (Size of brakes makes me think this).

I have a random hub, where it split in half to remove the bearing, but i only have one.

Anyone reading this got EPC as ive got part numbers, would make life easier lol

Part# not showing on EPC - should start with a 9 but if you drop the zeros on the number it's a digit short.

If there is a full number I can check it.
