Have you tried revving it up whilst it's stood, but from under the engine bay to find if the engine is rattling? It could be a whole number of things. Could you be a little more specific??
Engine? Would be a start!

it would help if you could say what type of noise it is, grinding, knocking etc, and what engine you have got mate
and is anything else on your car funny? loose steering (looser than usual lol)
i cant really help you but i expect they are the questions these lot will ask! good luck

lol don't use txt typing either, its horrible, you will have people telling you to fill your oil filler with water and fairy liquid and that the best polish for paint is brake fluid lol
but other than that im sure you will find whats wrong haha

When your driving do you feel any knocking noise by your feet or through the steering? Does it do it at certain speeds??

i know!! i was the same, before i was enlightened haha unforunatley i now spend triple the money on text messages, ANYWAY, i shall stock hijacking your thread and let you crack on,
get under your car by the way mate and give everything a good shake to make sure there is no play in the joints tie bars etc
and as NBC said, also note wether it happens on full lock (good excuse to go and drive like a proper unit in a car park imho)

Have you just done any work on the car? New airfilter, new alternator, new driveshafts?

it has just had the rockers replaced, because they were tapping like hell, that problem is solved now, just this one to solve haha
Going to assume you took the cam/dizzy etc off to do that? Check your ignition timing, there's marks on the cam carrier/dizzy usually, or just try retarding it by half a mm see if the noise stops/lessens.

^ as above. Does it appear more sluggish as well?
sounds like it's pinking under load to me
Thats what i was thinking, what gear are you in and roughly what speed are you doing when you hear the noise?
Spudly:
no if i easy the throttle it doesnt make any noise, but if i put my foot down by about 2000 rpm the noise starts and carrys on untill i ease off.
