F/G Boot, keeping it up?

Recieved my f/g bonnet and boot lid this morning.

I was just wondering how people kept there boot up (non pun intended)?
Have they modified the original boot piston thing or something different?

ive got a bit of alloy tubing that i take when i know im going to need the boot propped up.Failing that just hold it up.

You shouldnt need it up for any long period of time surely?

Dont Really want to lift it off, want it fitted.

Would want it up while its in service or if we got a puncture.

I was thinking of putting 2 pistons one on each side to hold it up and not have all the weight in one area, do you think this would wokr?

Fit bonnet lifters. ;) or take a friend to hold the bonnet up. lol

rams/lifters would be a bit overkil and you would probably damage the boot where you mount them...

You wouuld go to open it and it would shoot open at 600 mph and catapult you into the nearest tree.
