nova sport oil pressure gauge fault

The gauge is reading max all the time even with engine off and was wondering what the best fix for it is?

fit a new oil pressure sender or chech wires are still attached.

Sounds like a fault with either the sender, or a break in the wire. The sport has a 2 pin sender, one for the oil light, and the other for the gauge.

The battery is disconnected so would the wiring or sender still be a problem or is trhe gauge stuck
