40s qn, inlet manifold?!

Just a quick question with relation to the inlet mounting to the head.

1.2 / 1.4 heads will go on a 1.4 40s manifold

1.3 / 1.6 heads will go on a 1.3 40s manifold

Am i right or talking bollocks as per usual?

Pretty sure thats right mate, I was told the 1300 and 1600 ones were the same.. So would guess the 1200/1400 are the same too. :?:

Hmmm i think thats wrong;

1.2 & 1.3 inlet ports are the same (cathedral shaped) so 1300 manifold will fit these two.

1.4 Carb'd head as the sqaure ports, none of the others do, so 1400 manifold only.

1.4 Injection head & 1.6 head both have the round ports so 1600 manifold will also fit 1400 injection head.

I have got a 1200 that is running on 40's and the inlet manifold is off of a nova sport.

so yes the 1200 and the 1300 are the same inlet manifold.

But now it is exactly matched to my bigger ports on head :lol:
