View Full Version : diesel cav to 5 stud ?????

ok seen as my cav looks like a turbo mite conv it to 5 stud and fit turbo wheels i have checked the gearbox number and its an f 18 does this mean it has big block shafts and that five stud full legs will go strait on

advice needed for this before i comit to buy bits etc many thanks

all cavs are big block so yes the legs will bolt straight on. dont buy "turbo" legs tho or you'll ay the turbo tax. get cav v6 stuff

i thought the cav td was the isuzu 1.7 with an f13 box on it......am i wrong?

hmmmmm i wonder y mine is a f18 then verry strange :confused:

You dont even need to fit the legs can just swap the hubs, need new bearings but probably good idea anyhow. Also the rears assembly just 4 bolts on and off.

When i did my mk3 astra 1.7 td isuzu to 5 stud i used cav V6 stuff the rears are a straight swap but you might have to play around with different handbrake cables if you don't have rear discs already. For the fronts i just swapped the astra legs for the vac V6 legs - i have the F18 box btw
