1.2 & Sport Twin 40's

I'm looking to rebuild my Sport engine, and have been on the lookout for a 1.3 engine to put in as a temporary measure while I'm doing it.

However I'm not having much luck, and since I have a 17k mile 1.2 engine at home sitting doing nothing, I'm now wondering if all the "Sport" bits are a direct fit onto it?

It'll only be taking me to a few shows etc, not any real driving as such, so if it doesn't run 100% it's of no odds, as long as it half goes!!!lol

Afaik the ports are a good match if not exact from the 1300 to the 1200 so you shouldnt have any probs swapping over, pm "boffer8" on here as he runs a 1200 on forties bud:thumb:

Wont be a problem, as long as the 1200 is carb.

Will overfuel slighty and thats it.

i run a 1200 8v on webber 40's and it goes very well for what it is..

ok it has a highlift cam, blydenstein head etc it still goes well with webbers on..

sport carbs will be ok for it..
