Not really electrical but didnt no where to put this...

My driver side window window mechanism is broke...again...

Can i take a mechansim and winder from the back off the car. (5 door) and make it fit for the front window.

And if anyone wants to sell me a leccy window set up with everything thats needed so i can litteraly plug and play then pm me please.

No theyre completely different in the rear iirc, and i think more door window regs are cable operated are they not?

4/5door novas have cable window regs on the back for sure, i think the fronts are the same too.

Is yours a 2/3 door or a 4/5 door?

well, can i use the mchanism ffrom the passenger side door? or will it be the wrong way round?

Almost certainly different.

I usually find vaux window winders fail (usually stripped splines) because the glass sticks to the weatherstrip round the edge of the aperture. Silicone spray cures this for a while HOWEVER you must NOT get any on the windscreen as silicone products have a nasty tendency to bond to the glass.

On a side window it is OK but you do get a little bit of beading and/or smearing when operating the winder.
