as above .... as you all might know my brother bought that white mk1 sr with the redtop in and the shell was quiet bad condition (rust and dents)
so we have stripped it and some of the parts went to me :d
so last couple of weeks have been quiet busy in my lunch hour doin bits of sanding n painting few pics . . . . . the fanblades are off the road at the moment gettin ready for paint AGAIN :thumb:

That looks rather well that does lad, id suggets rub strips and bottom half painted in grey like the vinyl would be, have you just painted the white tailgate below the vinyl the same colour as your car, looks good with the white "SR" writing!

i have also suggested the vinyl or paint on the lower halfs. ye we masked the sr vinyle off and painted it below to save the sticker and painted it on the inside she still needs welding in the boot but that will get done before the mot :thumb:

i was goin to paint the bottem half same colour as bumpers when i get my new wing for the passenger side there is a rust hole

you need to put the string in the rubber so that you have 2 ends and so it meets at 12 oclock on the glass.then get someone to push on the 1 side and pull the string and then do the other side the same and meet in the middle at the bottom ie 6 0clock

yep tried that 3 times, both with the surround and without, it stops going over the lip everytime in the same place

as everyone else has said would look better with bump strips and grey vinyl/paint.

one niggle from me is to paint the opel badge the same blue as the car :)

Im really liking it, but I do agree with everyone else vinyl and bump strips will really finish it off :)
