Right guys,
kindda getting back into nova'ism now, basiclly, ive realised how incompatible my engine is with some of the mods i wanna do,
obviously people will have different opinions on what im doing, but,
im thinking of a 1.4 MPI transplant so i can gain higher tuning capabilities, is it worth it?
what do i need apart from the engine, box and loom, iive heard the fuel tanks are different?
MPI fuel pump, Intank from a astra.
Wiring, your need to cut out the spi stuff, ecu ofc.
MPI engines are about 80 bhp, so a good jump.
But remember insurance will be **** high due to it being a different engine.

a 1.4?!
LOL keep your engine, put a kent cam in it, 4 branch manifold with streight through stainless, a k&n or something thats better, thats whats on my sr and thats quick enough
1.4SPi is 60bhp. But iirc is quite torquey.

is it worth leaving it in? as its a sweet running engine, erm, also could i put a kent cam and a fast road shaft on it?
To be honest, swapping the engine would be the cheapest way to get 22bhp. Insurance could screw you though, but any way you look at it you'd be paying more.

tbh tho, im not confident enough to remove an engine, but its gotta come out, as my bay is being sprayed, unless i just go with red again, but im still smoothing things off in the bay,
