anybody else have it? let me tell you how big a pile of SH1T it is, it cuts out every 20 minutes, download speeds are stupidly slow, and the support line is the most unprofessional you could talk to. you tell them your internet keeps cutting out, the first question ''is it on an extension?'' if you say yes, they are determined that that's the problem. if you tell them that it isnt, they are determined that its the ADSL filters and you should buy some more. then if that doesnt solve the problem, then its impossible, and unresolvable. im sick of it, is anybody else on sky? i know loads of other people on sky and their internet cuts out too, quite alot.
Mine is fine has been for over two years, never lost connection and a tune off I tunes takes about 15 seconds, more than happy with it for free, doesn't even slow down when two computers are running

I too had Sky BB and switched to BT recently. I had an introductory offer of £5pm for 12 months. That was until i was informed (when my 12months was up) that i had to have their basic package because i was too far from the exchange to get their base, mid or max deals. Tada then jokers! Just been informed that my TV subscription has gone up £7 aswell.....Virgin here i come lol

Same here mate, had no problems with sky........ BT always been the problem with me! Its possible that the speed has been set too high and its overloading the line....... call them up and ask them to turn it down to 5mbps and it should run fine......... thats the problem i had with mine & since theyve done that Ive been getting good speeds.....

no problems with sky for me either:)
Whats your router stats - Attenuation, SnR etc
Also have you tried using the BT test socket? Assuming you have BT landline infrastructure...
I never had a single problem with Sky.
And tbh if you have a bit of PC knowledge you shouldnt ever really need the phone support......

Pete stay clear of virgin mate, use to be my provider for the net, but there a load of toss, took me ages to get my "code" off them.
And tbh the postoffice is **** too, thinking of swapping mine soon.

O2,
Cant fault them
Never had a fault, never dropped a connection (unless im too far away from my hub) its quick, and when I moved house they didnt charge me whilst I didnt have it plugged in! they cheap and they are quick, have my PS3 plugged into it done a speed test and got back 7.5mbps during off peak
I have Sky- never had a problem as of yet, running the Xbox and laptop doesn't slow it too much.
Virgin I've had many probs with, couldn't have more than one laptop/ Xbox connected at any one time, was shocking and more expensive..

TBH my BT is amazing! i run my p.c all day for emails due to buisness so its all ways been refreshed, mother runs her own online shop on the lap top and we run 2 ps'3 at times and never a problam always 3-4 bar signal
but the hubs are **** i will admit there range aint very good, i think its due to the area u live in , as a mate round corners got the same one as me but he cnt run his ps and laptop at same time just keeps D/C we tryed all the intal settings on the p.s
so mate best advice for ya is to see what people around ur way use an what they get best connection with
Orange are great, never had a problem, only time it ever used to die was when the router neeeded resetting.
^ what are Orange like in terms of webspace? I'm thinking about changing from ADSL24 to Orange as they have LLU here, but the former do give awesome webspace tools and space/bandwidth.
