anyone know of an spi or similar air housing (like the corsa) that will replace the binlid on a 2e carb ? im wanting to extend a pipe off to somewhere cooler and run it thru a cone or box.

cheers.

why not just run a cold feed from the front of the car to the intake on the binlid?

so much heat pouring off my cam cover an exhaust manifold, and everything else, going straight into the metal front arm of the binlid, i guess i could remove the metal half of it, and run a pipe from the cyclinder part to somewhere. be nice to do away with it tho, and have something a bit more compact to make access to the carb and surrounding areas a bit easier.

on my 1200merit, i took the 'handle' off the frying pan & ran a cold air duct from the grille. i never had icing problems, and it ran fine with a 1400 in it.
