Hi all,
Just had my recon engine transplanted and was told my engine mounts are completely shagged. I am getting all sorts of vibrations from the car at different speeds and this apparently is due to the engine mounts. Seeing I have just rebuilt the engine should I get brand new ones or second hand ones? If new then are vauxhall the best place or can I get them from somewhere else? How much are they and can I get away replacing 2 out of the 3????

:D :D :D

I've gone from a 1.2 to a 1.4nz engine, the gearbox has been uprated to a 5-speed and I have a twin-choke weber with K&N it has a 1.6 cam also. Do you think it would be worth using engine mounts from a bigger litre engine?

yeah just get another set from a scrappy or reclamation yard.

you only need to uprate the mounts or modify them with big block engines such as the 2.0 XE

I got a price from Vauxhall last week for three new mounts (Two gearbox and one engine) they wanted nearly ?140 for the full set!!! So I gave TAS a call and I ordered some competition ones for ?76 + VAT and Postage. Vauxhall are a rip off for that type off thing.
